To make a kauk-hnyin-baung, glutinous rice is steamed. There are two kind s of glutinous rice: white and black is delicious and crispy. It can be taken with boiled peas soaked in sesame powder with salt. It goes equally well with fried chicken or fried fiish. City folks usualy have it as breakfast with hot coffee whereas people in rural areas prefer to have it with plain green tea
